Project Three: Fairlies Bridge – Temporary Road and Improvements

Fairlies Bridge – Temporary road and improvements

Client: McNatty Construction

Where:  SH35 Fairlie’s Bridge – North of Tikitiki

McNatty Construction had been given the job of making improvements to Fairlies Bridge, and required a business with the know-how and resource to install a temporary road on the upstream side so that they could close the bridge to traffic while works continued.

Inline Marking were asked to do this. Using a 14.5ton and 10 ton digger to excavate and lay new metal, they then used geotextiles to make sure the diversion was strong enough to carry heavy logging trucks.  Once bridge works were completed, the material and culverts were excavated back out of the stream.  Inline Group also provided all road marking and crack sealing services to complement McNatty’s works.
