The latest meeting

The MCT usually meets every two months with the last meeting being held in early February 2018.

At the previous meeting in November the Trustees met with the Mayor of the Mackenzie District Council, Graham Smith and discussed Plan Change 13 and the District Plan Review.

At the February meeting, Rose Austen-Falloon was welcomed on board to her new role as General Manager and briefed the Trustees on how she had been familiarising herself in the first two weeks in the role.

Updates were provided on the website that is being built and planned for launch in early March and the values mapping project which was used at the Shared Vision forum and is being updated currently by the DOC GIS team. A decision was made to drop the trademark application until a later time due to the difficulties with proving distinctiveness.

The Trust also agreed to seek an ecological report from DOC, on the area being negotiated for protection by way of a Joint Management Agreement, and conclude the agreement with the landholder as soon as possible.

The Trust also agreed to the appointment of Rob Young as a Trustee.  The next meeting will be held in early April.
